SL completes last rites; Murali completes 800 wkts in his last appearance

It took much longer than expected for Sri Lanka to complete the last rites, as Indians were totally butchered at Galle backyard.

Malinga completed a five-for and Murali completed 800 wickets in his last test appearance as the Ms took control of the match in both the innings.

There was some respite with a well complied 69 from Lasman, 28 from Mithun and 35 from Ishant Sharma, but that was not enough for Sri Lanka to be contained in their run chase as they won under 15 overs. Such has been an overdose of high performance, it cannot be ruled out if they complete a rout of 3-0.

Cry for an all-rounder

I have been mentioning in this column that India requires an all-rounder to handle the balance of the team and it is high time India calls on Irfan Pathan. If he is included, this would mean that India can opt for 2 spinners and 2 fast bowlers at the behest of Yuvaraj. India sorely missed the services of Amit Mishra and Ohja is as good as a ODI bowler who cannot do more than contaning the batsman. So Ojha should pave way for Amit Mishra.
