Poor fielding and dropped catches make the contest Indianized

What a finish!! The Harbhajan Singh six off the penultimate delivery under pressure with his tiger-roar scripted a great finish to rightly earn him "Lord of the Match"

Pakistan was always in the match having scored 267. It is not easy for any country to chase and especially under lights. But India managed that with a clinical professional performance today.

I had mentioned in the curtain raiser review that fielding and catching could the vital part of the match. If there was one area which could differentiate between the two teams today it was fielding and catching. While India did exceedinglly well on fielding and good catching, but unfortunately, Afridi suffered by some pathetic fielding that included about 2 dropped catches. Though Afridi did a great job in rotating his bowlers, his ignoring Abdul Razzak to bowl at the end overs costed his team dearly. Razzak is a bowler who bowls very well at the death overs with his slowish ball. Earlier, Salman batted with aplomb, as he has a got liking to play against India. His mainstay contributed to a winning total for Pakistan.

Pakistan has bowed out of the tournament and this will surely hit them very had as the PCB is trying to clear all the match fixing allegations labelled against them.

Gambhir has been playing very well in the tournament and really laid a platform for the Raina's and Bhajji's to complete the match in style. Raina was simply superb and his swing towards mid-wicket was a treat to watch.

India has had a great win today and with this made themselves compete against SriLanka in the finals. The next match is not of much interest and may be, the selectors might be keen in having a look in on Tiwary and/or Ashwin.

The most important thing that I observed was how India was able to play under pressure yesterday. Though wickets fell at regular intervals, batsman had confidence in themselves...Way to go!!
