This 5-ODI series, English team will be without Anderson or Stuart Board and that will be a great news for Sri Lankans.
Sri Lanka have bolstered their batting order with Sangakara Mahela, Thirimanne and BMAJ Mendis in the middle order eventually followed by allrounders Mathews and Thissera Perera. Dilshan would like to carry on with those decent performance against Indians and also would like to convert those starts which he has failed against the Indians.
The return of Herath will be a great bolster for Sri Lanka as he was thoroughly missed against Indians. The continuation of testing Ajantha Mendis at this level, but, against England will seem to be a good test. I would expect an off-spinner to replace him by the end of the series.
England on the other hand have a huge problem bowling on these sub continent tracks with no one having had any experience in these conditions. But for Tredwell and Moeen Ali, their bowling looks clearly out of sorts.
The batsmen with the likes of Cook, Bell, Morgan and Bopara have played on these conditions before but that is not going to be enough for a team, which is aiming for a clean sweep.
So, Sri Lanka - here is a chance for a clean sweep - Go Lanka Go!!!
