An easy job for selectors picking the ODI team

Shikkar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli, Ambati Rayadu, Dhoni, Jadeja, Ashwin , Mohit Sharma and Bhuvaneswar Kumar pick themselves for the 1st 3 ODIs against West Indies to be selected by Sandeep Patil & Co this evening.

10 members out of the possible 13 select themselves ahead for the playing XI. This leaves the selectors to pick the rest 3 -  Dhoni always trusts with pacers than more spin options - so may be, the selectors will settle for 1 pacer, 1 batsmen and 1 spinner to make a 13-member selection for the 1st 3 ODI's.

But if I were part of the selection committee, I would definitely like to go with horses for courses and have the left-arm spinner in Akshar Patel and the wrist spinner in Karn sharma in my line-up and go with a 3 -way spin attack in my playing XI. Let us not forget that Akshar Patel is also a good finisher. Karn Sharma's good fielding ability makes him select ahead of Amit Sharma

As regards the pace department is concerned, I would like to have an allrounder in Binny so that takes care of the vacant batting slot too.
