England Beware!! India is in the mood

England had their tails up at one point of time but Keiswetter's shoddy work behind the stumps at different intervals was enough for India to romp home with 4 balls to spare.

Craig Kieswetter, was brought in to the team ahead of Mat Prior because the selectors felt that he is a better bat and keeper had a total off day at office - he missed an early chance to remove Gambhir on 17, before dropping Virat Kohli off a Jade Dernbach bouncer at a crucial juncture. Kohli had been struggling to impose himself and should have gone for 4 from 12 balls, only for Kieswetter to spill the catch as his elbows hit the turf. Worse was to follow, however, when he trod on the stumps while attempting to run out Jadeja with 12 balls of the match remaining, and 17 runs still needed.

Nothing can take away the match-winning knock from MSD and Jadeja. The later has been a prover with each match of late post his stint in the IPL and thus removing the idea of having another allrounder in Yusuf Pathan. The calmness with which MSD approached the game was simply awesome. Even when the required run rate hit 10 runs an over, yet, the cool customer that he is, MSD was not slog hitting. He was concentrating on mere singles and two's and putting the pressure on England's fields man with elan.. Early evening saw a good parnership between Rahane and Parthiv and later with Gambhir. Once Gambhir left the scene, India started to loose the sheen with wickets falling at regular intervals, untill MSD with the help of Jadeja resurrected the Indians innings with a win of the series....

My worry has been on India's bowling attack. England's own total had been built on another sheet-anchor performance from Jonathan Trott, who finished unbeaten on 98 from 116 balls. Given the history of chasing at Mohali - only five teams had previously managed it in 19 matches at the venue - their route back into the series was awaiting them.

Apart from Praveen, Ashwin and to an extent Jadeja, India has been found wanting in this department. Umesh Yadav needs to play more for India 'A' before returning to do national duty. India have to have Nehra in the playing XI as he has proved himself in the World Cup too!!

Allowing a player in the mold of Samit Patel to him 70 off 43 balls and allowing England to score 91 runs off the last 10 overs, sums the bowling attack of India. This is not a good news for the Indian future.
