See-Saw battle on the cards

I was simply dismayed by the comment of Boycott on Times of India that even his mom knows how to play short pitched stuff hinting directly at Suresh Raina. This message was to simply provoke the Indians, alrite.  Have the Englishmen play the spinning ball better or have they been able to master the conditions of reverse swing when played in India? Has any commentator commented on their batting? Yet, we seem to accept what ever any one tells about us and instead of demeaning the statements, we have Times Of India, complementing it by pasting this as a headline...

Coming back to this match, the chaos in London and in particular, Edgbagston, in particular, by the local community has robbed of any further match practice for India  and I only hope it will not affect R.P.Singh in particular since he was just dusted from the shelf only recently. Even if the 3rd Test match begins on time, will he have some practice before he will be asked to bowl for the 3rd Test Match?

With the presence of Gambhir and Sehwag, the Indians not only have a strong openers but also have a strong middle order combination with Dravid coming back to his usual No.3 role. Since the pitch might aid spin, I feel that Amit Mishra will be given a chance ahead of Pragyan Ohja, as the later is only a run-stopping machine, while the former is the aggressive of the two. He should replace Harbhajan. R.P.Singh will come in place of Sreesanth.

Complacency could work against the English men and I have a feeling that the mere presence of Gambhir and Sehwag could have already had a telling affect on their preparation to the 3rd Test. The only change in the XI will be Bopara coming in place of Trott, who has injured himself in the 2nd Test match.

My Indian XI for this 3rd Test Match:
Sehwag, Gambhir, Dravid, Sachin, VVS Laxman, Raina, Dhoni, Mishra, Praveen Kumar, Ishant, RP Singh

My England XI for this 3rd Test Match:
Strauss, Cook, Bell, Pieterson, Morgan, Bopara, Prior, Board, Bresnan, Swann, Anderson
